UN Music Club: Virtual music making The current limitations to social contacts due to the coronavirus pandemic also restrict opportunities of playing music together. However, this does not prevent creativity and remote recordings with the help of information technology. In April 2020, UN.ENSEMBLE.VIRTUEL remotely recorded the COVID-19-inspired composition “Seasons in the Time of Corona”, with the UN Music Club members Idalina Cappe de Baillon (soprano), Ursula Loizides (flute), Damianos Serefidis (violin) and Michael Wiener (piano, composition and music video).
Check out the video online at: https://youtu.be/HGC_0HSM1bI
You can also listen to the audio recording at https://soundcloud.com/un_ensemble_virtuel/seasons-in-the-time-of-corona
The music score for singers and instruments is available for download at https://www.dropbox.com/s/l0z4jc2sauzd6e6/seasons_score.pdf?dl=0
If you are interested in joining the virtual music making by singing (soprano, alto and baritone) or playing instrumental parts of the piece “Seasons in the Time of Corona”, you are kindly invited to record yourself and send it to UN.ENSEMBLE.VIRTUEL. You may listen over headphones to the sample instrumental recording (available at https://soundcloud.com/un_ensemble_virtuel/seasons_instrumental) and record your track, for example with a smartphone as a video (MP4) or audio only (MP3). Finally, please send your recording by email to un.ensemble.virtuel@gmail.com
