Modification of Statutes: Proposal to submit to GA is to accept as \u2018membre actif\u2019 also external guests, defined by adequate criterias. Established practice is that the Club occasionaly accepts \u2018guests\u2019 as Active members, sometimes even if not related to UN. This practice brings many members and musical participants into an ambiguous situation, because it may be interpreted as a contradiction to the statutes: hence a proposal for a change of text can be proposed to the GA and if accepted can be requested for approval by the Staff Council.
The actual text in the Statutes Article 2: para 1, \u2018Membre actif: reads as follows. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Article 2 : Membres et ressource<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1\/ Peut devenir membre du Club de musique des Nations Unies, \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve, tout fonctionnaire ou ancien fonctionnaire des Nations Unies et tout membre des missions permanentes, \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve, ainsi que les membres de leur famille.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proposed change<\/em>: Add:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A titre exceptionnel, toute personne ayant<\/strong> fait preuve d\u2019un apport musical important en tant que membre<\/strong> sympathisant et qui partage les id\u00e9aux de l’Organisation peut \u00eatre accept\u00e9e comme membre actif.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

c) Sont membres honoraires des personnalit\u00e9s que le Club de musique consid\u00e8re comme un
honneur particulier de compter parmi ses membres. Ils sont coopt\u00e9s par le Comit\u00e9 \u00e0 la
majorit\u00e9 des voix exprim\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
